A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, I completed my BBA in Marketing in 2008 from the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh. I moved to Northern Colorado in March 2010, and after a few career transitions, found my place in the Mortgage Industry as a loan originator. My background in sales, combined with a desire to build trusting, meaningful relationships with others has led me to prosper as a loan originator. As a “numbers guy” with an education-oriented mindset, this job could not be a better fit for my skills, talents, and passions. Liking to be identified both as a teacher and lender, my best compliment is when clients tell me that I am really good at explaining the lending process to them in a way they can follow and understand.


How I do Business - I do things a little different than most lenders. My communication style, my investment into helping the clients clearly understand the lending process, and my involvement from the start-to-finish are things that I feel set me apart from other lenders. Here are three pillars to how I work with my referral partners:


COMMUNICATION: I have learned that the #1 expectation from all parties is communication, and I take that to heart. Aside from our texting/calls throughout the buying process, here are a few processes I have put in place to help keep you informed:


  • Once a client has been referred to me, I try to keep you cc’d on our communication emails as we move through the process. Whether it is occasional check-ins with clients who are not ready to move forward quite yet, or clients that we are actively working through the buying process with, I want to keep you informed and top of mind through the whole timeline.
  • For files that are actively under contract, I will always send a Friday update to you, as well as the listing agent to keep you informed on where we are at. Many times we will have already discussed things throughout the week, but I like to send a summary email at the end of each week just to make sure everyone is on the same page.
  • I also try to send out an email every Friday to all of my realtor partners. In this email I will let you know about any industry updates that are relevant, invites to classes or events, and any specific weekend plans that would take me away from being available for an extended period of time.


TEAMWORK: I truly believe my main job as your lender partner, is to make you look good. I view each client and transaction as a team effort and I am very hands on throughout the process, and like to stay as involved as possible. It is because of this that I don’t give out generic pre-approval letters. When clients are ready to make an offer, I want to make sure that we have discussed numbers for that specific property ahead of time, and have strategized with you the best offer for the clients. I will then create a custom approval letter to match your offer.


AVAILABILITY: I keep my phone on me 24/7. There is rarely a time when I cannot be reached for an extended period of time. If there is one of those times, you will know about it ahead of time. I am happy to take calls on the weekends, because I know that is when most of our business is done. If I can’t get to something right away, I will always let you know when you can expect my response.
